This Day in History

Every day at work, I borrow just a few minutes out of my productivity to check Wikipedia for something interesting that happened in history and draw a little picture on my whiteboard.  I don't do it because I'm a good artist or because I'm a history buff.  I do it because it's become a fun way to keep things interesting at work.  I've been doing this for a while, but I've only recently started using the camera on my phone to document my amazing artwork for posterity.  It's gained a little bit of attention from friends so now I'm going to post it here for the world to see.

If you want to play, this is how it works.  Each drawing is labeled with date.  Look at the drawing and try to guess what it is.  I usually use symbols or a speech bubble to make it a little clearer.  Avid Pictionary players may protest, but this is my game, so I get to make the rules!  You can cheat by surfing over to Wikipedia, but that would take the fun out of it, so I recommend against that.  I like to draw things about inventions or "first time such-in-such"happened.  Normally, I offer hints as people guess since I am sitting right there as it happens, but I may have to resort to the post comments for hints.  If you have a guess, make a comment!

I have a few drawings from previous dates that I will post in the morning.  Get ready for some TDIH fun!
